The job itself can be boringstressful, or relaxed depending on the day. They have a great workplace culture that really tries to make every different kind of employee feel noticed. I'm definitely going to be more picky about where I chose to work in regards to work environment and culture after this. At the end of the day it's definitely the best customer support job I've had so far.
Pros Positive work environment.
Cons low pay. Was this review helpful? Yes No. Report Share. No complaints, great environment with room to advance. Pros great cultrue. Cons none. Things are always changing, it's hard to keep up. Coworkers are friendly, but the supervisors confidently say the wrong answers and dont really care. Pros Sometimes you get cool stuff.
Cons Given the wrong answers all the time. This was an awesome place to work! A ton of perks! I loved working for Gh, excellent people and great benefits, I do think that they should pay a smidgen more for the tasks you are required to perform, but I found it fun, challenging and rewarding. The company saw that turnover was much higher than typical in sales and identified the flaws in their training and made effort to change it.
Grubhub employee reviews in chandler, az
Would recommend this job to anyone who has cold call experience or had the stomach for it. Do you enjoy working at your company? If you don't like being yelled at look elsewhere Grubhub tries to take good care of their office employees, they are always giving you free food, decent pay, and good benefits.
However, you receive a lot of training in a very little time frame and are thrust straight to the phones, where you are expected to learn very quickly. They will tell you that it is okay to ask questions, over and over, but then get frustrated when you are overwhelmed and not 'getting' it.
I would say maybe one out of ten calls you are not being yelled at, and you will get screamed at by drivers, customers, and sometimes though it is a little rarer you will get yelled at by restaurants. There is also a huge language barrier between the call centers that creates a lot of chaos, especially with the drivers.
The drivers are rude, mean, demanding, condescending, angry, and downright awful people to talk to. Often times you have to call them back to get screamed at again. You will often get yelled at by a driver, and a customer all on the same ticket. It is also hard to blame them, because most of the time when they call, all you can do is tell them that you are sorry. There is literally nothing you can do to satisfy them, so you sit there while they scream at you basically because they are losing money.
Even the managers will tell you that the situation sucks for the driver, but there is nothing that can be done. It is hard to make bonus, unless you are very punctual to work every day, and are prompt - more Pros Free food, good benefits, decent pay.
Although the pay was decent, I would honestly say that GH corporate was the least accommodating place I've ever worked as someone with a disability. The employees will get away with anything, including verbal remarks and comments and the management won't bat an eye, which escalated to a hostile work culture.
The company itself has little to no respect for its drivers and their well being, and this shows in the day to day interactions and policies in place. Some of the managers do make a genuine effort, but seem overworked and undervalued. Great pay! A day in the life of Grubhub consists with nothing very consistent at all. A rep can literally go into the office and have a whole new agenda provided by upper management.
There is zero culture and the company treats employees like a revolving door. There is on one hand the possibility of making a ton of money but with the inconsistencies of the company only very few will achieve a maximum pay day.
Every representative is given a territory to call and prospect restaurants to up on the Grubhub platform. These territories have been worked over by a rep the 3 months so in some areas it is slim pickens. The company is so concerned with what DoorDash is doing they lose sight of what is important with their own employees. The people you meet here will turn into long lasting friends but management could care less about employees and their happiness. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. Was good then became truly awful. At first, this was a great place to work. But over time it's just gotten worse and worse.
